Assistant Foreign Minister HE Lolwah Al Khater has said the mediating role Qatar is playing in Afghanistan is borne out its conviction in the preventive diplomacy pursued by the state in regional conflicts to ensure that Doha does not become part of polarisation in the region.
In an interview with Arab TV, Al Khater expressed Doha’s desire see that Afghanistan has a government that is inclusive of all spectrum of Afghan society in the future.
She added that the current Afghan government is temporary and the priority is to preserve the institutional entity located in Afghanistan.
Al Khater noted that it is now important to preserve the institutional entity and this is the approach that "we understand that the Taliban would follow.”
