Kuwait’s top air conditioner (AC) brand Coolex is attracting a large number of serious customers at the ongoing Build Your House exhibition in Qatar, a senior official of the company has said.
Coolex, which supplies various cooling products to the Qatari market through its local partner Al Jaber for AC & Lifts Systems, is growing at a fast pace in Qatar.
Talking to Qatar Tribune on the sidelines of the Build Your House exhibition at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC), Al Jaber for AC & Lifts Systems Unit Head Hamdy Ahmed said, “Coolex has captured a share of almost 20 percent in Qatar’s AC market during its presence in the country for the last five years. The brand is continuing to grow at a fast pace in the country.”
Ahmed said that exhibitions like BYH have played a vital role in making the Coolex brand popular in Qatar.
“While many people are visiting our booth and showing great interest in our products, we are expecting almost 300 serious customers during this exhibition,” he said.
“We make special offers for exhibition visitors like monthly instalment system, down payment of only 35 percent and extended warranty of up to 10 years warranty on compressors. We expect to finalise lots of deals during this exhibition,” he said.
“Our products are suitable for Qatar and the Gulf region as they are made in Kuwait. We also offer the lowest price compared to our competitors as our shipping cost is lower than them,” he said.
Besides catering to individuals, Ahmed said, “We have more than 250 villa projects in Qatar currently. We have also got contracts for five healthcare centres and many government and commercial buildings in the country.”
“High-quality products and dependable performance guarantees are the basis of trustful and long-standing business relations,” Ahmed said.
In an interview with Qatar Tribune earlier, a senior official of the company said that it aimed to capture 70 percent of Qatar’s AC market share after winning big contracts in the country.
The official said that the supply of Coolex products to Qatar had increased significantly and the company bagged major contracts worth millions of Qatari riyals from Qatari companies to install air-cooled packaged chillers and other products.
Given the positive response from customers in Qatar, Al Jaber for AC & Lifts Systems has decided to increase the number of Coolex outlets in Qatar. Currently, there are two outlets and more would be opened in different parts of the country to meet the rising demand.
“We have also set up maintenance workshops to provide uninterrupted after-sales service to our customers,” Ahmed said.
Coolex, which supplies products like concealed ducted split, central ducted split air conditioners, central package air conditioners, air-cooled packaged chillers and air handling units fan coil units in the Qatari market, is the first in the region and the only air conditioning manufacturing company in Kuwait.
“We have a market share of 70 percent in Kuwait’s AC market. We aim to achieve the same share in Qatar’s market. Our target is achievable as Qatar wants to promote Kuwaiti products in its market,” the official said.
