Faisal Khan, whose 55 included a six and four hits to the rope, was the lone wicket that Galfar Al Misnad lost while chasing a modest 247-run target. Besides leg-spinner Vithanage, Gayan Budhika picked two wickets for 47 for the winners.
In the third fixture of the day, Philip’s 83 and two wickets for only two runs were the highlight of the Commercial Bank Qatar’s one-sided 191-run rout of Bangladesh Seniors Club. Philip faced 61 balls, slammed two sixes and seven fours. Uzair’s 51 in 69 balls, his second half-century in a row, and a 44 by Tamim took CBQ to a challenging 283 for six.
