In their traditional way of bidding farewell to friends, the Pakistani Professional Group in Qatar hosted a farewell dinner for outgoing Ambassador of Italy HE Allessandro Prunas, outgoing Ambassador of Moldova HE Prof. Dr. Victor Prunas, and outgoing Ambassador of Thailand HE Nathapol Pong. The reception was hosted at Turkish restaurant, Hasan Kolcuoglu, The Pearl Qatar.
Those present on the occasion included Ambassador of People’s Republic of China HE Zhou Jian; Ambassador of Japan HE Satoshi Maeda; Ambassador of Indonesia HE Ridwan Hassan; Ambassador of Spain HE Javier Carbajosa; Ambassador of Turkey HE Dr. Mustafa Goksu; Prof. Dr. Javaid Sheikh, Dean Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar and Chairman, Pakistan Business Council-Qatar; Riyaz Bakali, President, Pakistan Engineers Forum Qatar; Dr. Akmal Rana; Hamid Rasul; and Qaiser Anwar.
Welcoming the Ambassador of Spain HE Javier Carbajosa, who has earlier served in Pakistan, Ashraf Siddiqui, on behalf of the participants, wished the outgoing envoys the best of health and continued success in their responsibilities and future endeavours.
Taking the opportunity on behalf of Pakistani community in Qatar, he thanked all the countries, especially Qatar, China and Turkey, for their quick response to Pakistan’s appeal in the face of severe destructions from the floods.
The Pakistani community in Qatar is serving Qatar in almost every sector. There are over 200,000 Pakistanis living in Qatar.
