Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani chaired the Cabinet’s regular meeting held at its seat at the Amiri Diwan on Wednesday.

Following the meeting, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs HE Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Sulaiti said the Cabinet approved a draft air services agreement between the government of Qatar and the government of Belize.

The Cabinet took the necessary measures to ratify an agreement on technical and economic cooperation in the field of infrastructure investments between the government of t Qatar and the government of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The Cabinet followed up on the arrangements and preparations for hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and took the appropriate decision in this regard. The Cabinet also reviewed the first and second reports on developments related to the implementation of Law No 22 of 2021 regulating healthcare services within the country and took the appropriate decision regarding them.

The Cabinet, through the presentation by Minister of Commerce and Industry on the public-private partnership (PPP) policy and projects, was briefed on the objectives of the partnership, including enhancing the participation of the private sector in the development of public assets, developing the capacity of the private sector, and encouraging competition to achieve a diversified local economy.

The Cabinet was also briefed on the PPP policy and objectives and its implemented projects, those under implementation and future projects.

The Cabinet listened to the presentation by President of the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau on the monthly report on Qataris employment via the Kawader platform, including the data on the number of job seekers registered on the platform, available jobs, replacement jobs and job seekers’ requests, the employment in the public and private sectors, interviews with job seekers in the government sector, and adjustments and solutions in this regard.
