Bayern Munich winger Jamal Musiala became the second-youngest scorer for Germany in their international history in North Macedonia on Monday and youngest to find the net for the national team in over a century.
“It felt really good,” Musiala said in a video posted by the German federation on Tuesday. “A goal for Germany is an honour.”
Musiala, aged 18 years and 227 days, struck the fourth in the 4-0 win which secured Germany’s place at the World Cup finals in Qatar next year.
Only Marius Hiller, who scored aged 17 years and 241 days in 1910, is a younger Germany scorer.
