Al Raheeb International, a renowned business group based in Qatar, has announced the launch of its new brand, Marza Hypermarket in Qatar.
Speaking at a press conference, Managing Director of Al Raheeb International Group Jafar Kandoth said the fourth outlet of the group, Marza Hypermarket in J Mall, Hazm Al Markiyya will open on Saturday, October 23.
He said, “The inaugural function of Marza Hypermarket – J Mall will be held at 3pm in the presence of dignitaries, government officials and representatives of the Qatar business community. We opened our first hypermarket Park N Shop Hypermarket at Ain Khalid on January 27, 2010 and, since then, it has been a popular daily shopping destination for Qatari and expat population for the past 11 years.
“To reflect upon the success story, we have decided to rebrand our retail business under the brand ‘Marza’ with the opening of our flagship branch in J Mall, Hazm Al Markiyya. This will be our fourth Marza outlet as we have renamed our previous outlets to the new brand. We aim to open two more hypermarkets and five express stores soon in Qatar.”
Founder of Al Raheeb International is Ahmed Haji Kandoth and chairman of the group is Mayan Haji Kandoth, who started a humble shop in Souq Jaber in the year 1985.
Now the group has ventured into hypermarkets, fashion outlets, furniture distribution and restaurants.
Marza Hypermarket – J Mall is a European-inspired outlet which will be at par with any major retailer in Doha in terms of design and architecture radiating luxury and extravagance while conveying simplicity and making daily shopping an enjoyable experience for the whole family.
The outlet is a complete hypermarket in 50,000 square feet with more than 100,000 products in grocery food and non-food, fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh fish and meat, salads, deli, bread and bakery, dairy, frozen products, ready to eat products, fashion, footwear, lifestyle, perfumes, technology, household, sports, toys, and stationery products. In addition to this, the outlet has a copy and bind counter, mobiles and watches counter, perfumes, as well as cosmetics counters.
As part of the inauguration, the hypermarket has arranged very attractive promotions and discounts for customers in all departments.
The biggest highlight is Buy 1 Get 1 promotion in garments, footwear, and ladies’ bags.
