Qatar Nanny Training Academy (QNTA) graduated 28 students for the 2020-2021 academic year. The students, who had completed an intensive high-quality training program in the field of comprehensive child care, learned the foundations of healthy physical and mental education for children, as well as how to instill Qatari traditions and Islamic values, and had access to specialized courses in various aspects of child care.
Since its inception in 2012, the Academy, a member of Qatar Foundation (QF), has been committed to educating Qatari families on the importance of preparing a generation with the drive to build a promising future, while also contributing to QF’s vision of unlocking human potential and communicating with Qatari society to meet its humanitarian and social needs.
QNTA’s Administration and Operations Manager, Jawaher Al-Khater, expressed how the graduation of this eighth batch of students has added to the Academy’s record, saying: “QNTA celebrates and highlights the achievements of our students, especially in light of the challenges posed by the pandemic. The successfully combined efforts of the administrative and academic teams managed to prepare, train, and qualify these students in accordance with best standards to achieve the mission of the Academy and enrich the lives of Qatari families.”
Buthaina Al-Othman, QNTA Academic Coordinator, agreed and encouraged students to put their training to use and keep learning as they take on new responsibilities.
The Academy is a one-of-a-kind initiative launched with the support of Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science, and Community Development, as part of the Qatar Foundation’s goals of developing society, promoting cultural life, and preserving Qatari heritage.
QNTA aims to develop human resources in the State of Qatar, as well as to raise and educate young people in accordance with Islamic Shari’a principles, while preserving the Arabic language and Qatari culture. As a result, the Academy provides a training program for Arab Muslim nannies so that they can be qualified to care for children in Qatari homes. The training program includes specialized ten-month childcare sessions for women only from Arab countries.
The Academy offers high-quality facilities to its students, including accommodations, a health club, a training center and fully equipped classrooms.
