A total of 92 volunteers joined the blood donation drive organised by Filipino group Bantay at Kasangga ng OFW International Inc Qatar Chapter at the HMC Blood Donation Centre on Friday.
The event was organised in cooperation with Bayanihan Qatar, GPII-ACO Guardians International and other Filipino community groups.
According to Eliseo Bermido, committee chairman of BK-Bantay Kalusugan (Health Awarness), the initiative will benefit patients in Hamad Hospital.
He said, “We are very thankful for the huge support of various Filipino community groups and individuals who joined this important cause.”
Other groups that supported the event were The SOLID Qommunity (TSQ), OFW Advocates Int’l.(OFWAI), Tropang Kabayan sa Qatar (TKSQ), Goal Keepers Charity Qatar (GCKQ), Team Positive Doha Qatar (TPDQ), TIQLOP Social Bikers Qatar (TSBQ) and East Optics.
