His Highness the Amir of State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has stressed that the initiative to plant a million trees in Qatar aims to create an environment that preserves “our Qatari and Arab values” and instills in our children the spirit of authenticity, patience and giving.
In a tweet, HH the Amir said, “Today, I participated in the planting of the Sidra tree, marking the launch of the Children’s Museum “Dadu” garden project, the 600,000th tree within the initiative “planting one million trees” in Qatar. Like a small tree that grows with care, our initiatives aim to create an environment that preserves our Qatari and Arab values and instills in our children the spirit of authenticity, patience and giving.”
On Thursday, HH the Amir planted a Sidra tree to mark the inauguration of the Children’s Museum “Dadu” garden project of Qatar Museums. HH the Amir planted the 600,000th tree as part of the initiative to plant a million trees.
HH the Amir then listened to a presentation about the objectives of the initiative to plant a million trees and the Children’s Museum garden project, and the various activities and stimulating, interactive and exploratory programmes that it includes. HH the Amir was accompanied during the visit by Chairperson of Qatar Museums Board of Trustees HE Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani, FIFA President Gianni Infantino, and a number of ministers and senior officials. page 12
