Upon the directives of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, the name of HH the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah was given to the corridor road project inaugurated by HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani, in the presence of HH Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Representative of HH the Amir of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, in a ceremony at the Sheraton Hotel this morning.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and HH Representative of HH the Amir of the State of Kuwait listened to a briefing on the key features of the new corridor road, which will be built in accordance to the latest developments for building highways in the world.
The ceremony also included showing a documentary on the importance of the project in terms of linking all parts of the country together, and how it serves Qatar National Vision 2030.
The event was attended by a number of their excellencies ministers, heads of authorities, ranking state officials, representatives from the companies that will carry out the project, and members of the media.
Representative of Kuwait Amir in Doha
HH Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Representative of HH the Amir of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, arrived in Doha Sunday morning to represent HH the Amir of Kuwait at the launching ceremony of Sabah Al-Ahmed new road.
HH the Representative of HH the Amir of Kuwait and his accompanying delegation were welcomed upon their arrival at Doha International Airport by HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani.
They were also welcomed by HE Qatar's Ambassador to Kuwait Bandar bin Mohammed Al Attiyah and HE Ambassador of Kuwait to Qatar Hafeez Mohammed Al Ajmi. (QNA)
