The Qatar Indian Thawheed Centre (QITC), an organisation of Tamil-speaking Muslim expatriates from India, in association with Hamad Medical Corporation’s Blood Bank, organised its 35th Mega Blood-Donation Campaign recently as part of the Qatar National Day celebrations.
More than 160 volunteers from the organisation participated in the campaign.
The noble act of donating blood not only gives a new lease of life to many but also boosts the sense of social responsibility by serving the humanitarian and social needs of our local communities, said the organisation in a press statement.
Mohamed Ali Mohamed Ibrahim, general secretary of QITC, thanked the HMC Blood Bank team and the management of the organisation for their support to the initiative.
