Warriors Club emerged the proud winners of the Qatar National Day T10 Cricket Tournament, outclassing Tusker Club by nine wickets through Zubair’s fiery batting.
The Qatar Cricket Association, just like the previous years, hosted the event and contributed to the celebrations that swept the country on the National Day.
Royal Stars Club grabbed the third place.
Zubair looked in good touch and smashed one six and six boundaries in his unbeaten 54 off 36 deliveries. He and Kamran Khan posted 54 runs for the opening wicket and the rest was just a formality for the winners.
Tusker Club, batting first, made 88 for three after Jishnu (25 not out with three sixes) and Nawaf (15 not out) collected 44 runs for the unbroken fourth-wicket stand. Waleed top-scored for them as he hit one six and two fours in 19-ball 31.
QCA Operations Manager Manzoor Ahmad was the chief guest at the prize distribution and presented the trophies to the top three teams. Also present on the occasion were QCA Domestic Cricket Head Gul Khan Jadoon and other officials.
