Al Asmakh Mall has been relaunched with a new design and more offerings. Located in Al Sadd, the mall is a neighbourhood shopping destination for more than half a million families in Qatar. It is well-connected through Salwa and Al Shamal Road, with the Al Joan Metro Station being 300 metres from the mall.
The mall has undergone a complete revamp of its interior, providing an iconic feel to its overall architecture. The mall’s new interiors are inspired by the Desert Oasis.
The mall ceiling pattern is derived from desert wind causing the sand pattern seen in the floor design and colour used.
The perforated panel design pattern, which is one of the main drivers of the mall and seen on the columns, is derived from the local Mashrabiya pattern and is reflected all across to keep the harmony of the mall interiors.
The selection of earthy colour pallet makes the exterior and the interior of the mall look integrated. As one walks inside the mall, it will be observed that all the interior elements speak the same language.
Shumalan Naicker, Territory Head, Landmark group, said, "It’s an absolute delight to see the mall’s transformation. It’s one of the most-preferred shopping destinations within Qatar because of its location, offerings, service and accessibility.”
The offerings in Al Asmakh Mall are wider than before with new stores like Max, Shoexpress, Al Meera, Starbucks, Papa Johns and Florenza, he said.
"The existing stores like Centrepoint, Home Centre, Emax, Fun Ville, McDonald’s and Baskin-Robbins also have a new contemporary look which makes the shopping experience extremely wonderful. The mall has used digital technology across the mall to modernize the feel of the mall. The exterior screen on the mall facade gained a lot of prominence and attention.”
