Germany winger Leroy Sane wants to win the Champions League for the first time and has attributed his strong showings over the past months to the full support from Bayern Munich’s leadership. Sane, 25, arrived in Munich in 2020 from Manchester City, after Bayern had won the continental elite event a sixth time. He told Sunday paper Bild am Sonntag that a first personal Champions League title is among his top goals, and said that Bayern are well-positioned to aim for the trophy. "At the moment I see us as the strongest team in Europe, together with Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea,” Sane said. Coming off a severe knee injury, Sane had a difficult start in Munich last season. Sane has raised his game considerably since then. (DPA)
