The Qatari team achieved good results at the Arab Golf Championship 2021 held in Egypt with Saleh Ali Al Kaabi winning the second place in the singles and with it the silver medal. About 45 of best golf players from 11 Arab countries participated in the tournament.
Al Kaabi had a score of 294 behind Saudi Faisal Salhab, who emerged as the with a total of 286. Emirati Ahmed Skaik came third with 295 while Saudi Saud Al Sharif was fourth with a total of 298 strikes, and Tunisian Elias Barhoumi fifth with the same total. The Qatari golf team achieved overall fourth rank in the team competition, where the top three were Saudi Arabia, Tunisia and Egypt respectively. Fahad Nasser Al Nuaimi, Secretary-General of Qatar Golf Association, headed the mission, in addition to coach Hassan bin Ruqayya and the players Abdulrahman Abdullah Al Shahrani, Ali Abdullah Al Shahrani, Saleh Ali Al Kaabi and Jaham Jassim Al Kuwar.
