To commemorate the National Day of Pakistan, the Embassy of Pakistan hosted a Reception at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, Doha. It was attended by a large number of dignitaries, Members of the Diplomatic Corps, representatives of the Pakistani community and media based in Qatar.
The Chief Guests of the event were H.E. Sheikh Fahad bin Abdur Rehman Al-Thani, H.E. Dr. Gaith bin Mubarak Ali Al Kuwari, Minister of Endowment and Islamic Affairs, H.E. Dr Muhammad Abdul Wahed Ali Al Hammadi, Minister of Education and Higher Education, and H.E. Mr. Yousef bin Mohammed Al-Othman Fakhrou, Minister of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs.
National Anthems of Qatar and Pakistan were played on the occasion Ambassador Syed Ahsan Raza Shah welcomed the guests and highlighted the historical background and significance of the National Day. Ambassador highlighted the excellent existing bilateral ties between the two brotherly countries and expressed the hope that these ties would be further strengthened in the years ahead.
