The Embassy of India in Qatar on Wednesday marked the 73rd Republic Day of India with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm.
Ambassador of India to Qatar HE Dr Deepak Mittal unfurled the National Flag on the embassy premises followed by India’s National Anthem.
The president of India’s address was read out by the ambassador. The function was followed by the rendition of patriotic songs and folk dance performances from Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand and Assam states by Indian community members.
The event was held in a hybrid format with simultaneous live streaming online on social media handles and on YouTube channel of the Embassy of India for people to follow the event virtually.
Ambassador Mittal appreciated the commendable role played by Indian community in Qatar in various sectors.
He also interacted with Indian community and apex body leaders.
