Qatar’s Saleh Al Kaabi has qualified for the Saudi International Golf Championship, to be held in Jeddah from February 3 to 6 with the participation of elite golfing stars of the world.
Al Kaabi qualified finishing second in the qualifiers held at Abu Dhabi. The qualifiers saw which four players (first and second place holders - professionals and amateurs) make the grade for the Saudi golf touney.
Meanwhile, Qatar’Ali Al Shahrani missed the qualification ticket.
Saleh Al Kaabi had finished third recently in the Qatar Open Championship at the Doha Golf Club. Qatar Open which concluded on January 22 was won by Dane Mikkel Mathiesen.
The Saudi International is making its debut on the Asian Tour.
The biggest names competing includes Dustin Johnson (a two-time champion), Xander Schauffele and Bryson DeChambeau. Phil Mickelson, Sergio Garcia, Tommy Fleetwood, Tony Finau, Patrick Reed, Cameron Smith and Abraham Ancer.
AS many as 21 of the world’s top 50 players will tee it up at Royal Greens Golf and Country Club in King Abdullah Economic City, Saudi Arabia, beginning on February 3.
