Qatar’s Permanent Mission to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), on behalf of Qatar, held a reception for the delegations of ICAO’s member states, on the sidelines of the country’s participation in the 41st ICAO Assembly, in Montreal, Canada.

Minister of Transport HE Jassim Saif Ahmed Al Sulaiti attended the event.

The Embassy of Qatar in Canada and several entities associated with civil aviation industry also participated in the event.

ICAO Council President Salvatore Sciacchitano, ICAO Secretary-General Juan Carlos Salazar, several ministers, heads and representatives of Member States’ delegations and several ambassadors to accredited Canada attended the event.

In his remarks, Sulaiti welcomed the audience and thanked ICAO for the work it does to develop air navigation and air transportation industry, thus ensuring safety, security and growth.

He also reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to continue cooperating with the global organisation to achieve its objectives and principles.

The minister also congratulated the countries that won Council membership seats on Groups A and B, and wished Group C candidates well, Qatar is one of the Group C candidates.
