Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers of the Sultanate of Oman HH Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said met on Monday with Minister of Labour of Qatar HE Dr Ali bin Smaikh Al Marri.
During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral cooperation in the fields of labour and the ways to develop them, in addition to emphasising joint and continuous coordination on related issues.
On the other hand, the Minister of Labour headed the delegation of the State of Qatar in the follow-up meetings of the agreement signed between the two countries on labour and manpower, in order to review experiences and exchange of expertise in the field of labour and manpower regulation.
HE Dr Al Marri also met with HE Minister of Labour of the sisterly Sultanate of Oman Dr Mahad Said Baawain, and HE Minister of Heritage and Tourism of the sisterly Sultanate of Oman Salim Mohammed Al Mahrouqi.
During the two meetings, they discussed aspects of joint cooperation in labour-related issues, and ways to support and develop them.
The two parties stressed the importance of providing opportunities to benefit from expertise and experience in labour fields, especially labour market regulation, job localisation, digital transformation and workforce planning in accordance with the needs of the labour market.
