The inaugural Doha Oasis Padel Tournament which was to begin this Thursday has now been rescheduled to March 24-26 due to an expected sandstorm.
The finals of the tournament will now be played on March 26 from 4 to 6pm.
Doha Oasis (a mixed-use development located in Mshereib) in partnership with Padel Club have launched their first padel tournament at their new outdoor padel courts located next to their iconic dome garden facility comprising three doubles courts.
The event will also celebrate the opening of the new courts at Doha Oasis.
The competition will be open to all players of all levels, with 5 categories for men, women, and mixed teams.
Players will enroll in pairs to compete against other teams, they will connect and socialise in a safe environment following all the health & safety guidelines set out by the local authorities.
The tournament’s elimination phase will see top pairs from each of the categories qualify for the final.
Natalia Mikhalchenkova, the Organising Director of Padel Club, said: “It is our fourth tournament and we are happy to provide an opportunity for people to compete, meet new friends, enjoy an event. We are happy to partner up with Doha Oasis this time to deliver this event. We believe people will enjoy participating as much as we enjoy organising it.”
