The outpatient clinic of Al Emadi Hospital near Lekhwiya Building opened partially on Tuesday (May 28). The facility, which is on Al Shamal Road, is being fully equipped for its official opening in the near future.
An integrated medical facility with the latest technology and medical procedures, the clinic was opened in the presence of Dr Mohammed Abdullah al Emadi, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Emadi Hospital Management and Senior Consultant General Surgery and Obesity Endoscopy in Emadi Hospital, Dr Abdulelah al Adimi, Medical Director of the hospital and kidney and urinary tract surgery consultant, and a number of hospital staff.
The opening of the clinic is the first step towards the strategic expansion of Al Emadi Hospital in different regions of the country, especially in densely populated areas. The centre will provide medical and health services to both citizens and residents.
“Qatar has made giant strides in building a health system that meets the highest international standards. Qatar continues to improve the quality of its health services,” said Dr Mohammed Abdullah al Emadi.
“In line with Qatar’s National Health Strategy 2022, we have set up the outpatient clinic in Al Shamal. This project comes in line with the hospital’s strategy to expand its branches to include different areas for access to all citizens and residents,” he added.
Dr Emadi said, “The hospital’s employees (both medical and administrative cadres) are very hard working and dedicated. They are keen to provide all means of comfort to patients. This helped the hospital earn a good reputation among hospitals in Qatar.”
He said the outpatient clinic of the Al Emadi Hospital in Al Shamal region seeks to add new specialties and enhance the capabilities of its medical staff with latest international treatment methods.
“Over the years, the Al Emadi Medical Group has gained a reputation of providing state-of-the-art healthcare to patients. Today, we offer high-quality medical care to citizens and residents. The opening of Al Shamal outpatient clinic is going to help strengthen our leading presence as a key player in the healthcare sector and meeting the needs of patients,” he said.
“We look forward to becoming one of the leading providers of healthcare services in Qatar. To achieve this goal, we are committed to offer medical services of highest quality by using latest technologies and medical procedures. Our hospital provides integrated services,” he said.
For his part, Dr Abdulelah al Adimi, Medical Director of the hospital and kidney and urinary tract surgery consultant, said: “Private medical services are complementing the policies of the Ministry of Public Health. We discovered that Al Shamal area has no facility to provide integrated health services. Hence, the idea cropped up to establish a facility in this area.”
He said the first phase involved the opening of outpatient clinic with accompanying medical services. The facility has 20 clinics, 20 consultants and integrated medical services such as laboratory, pharmacy and nursing.
The second phase will include a special centre for laboratories, which will be complementary to the North Clinics project, a specialised facility for diagnosis (both microscopic and radiology).
The North Clinics project includes all specialties such as obesity surgery and general surgery, ENT (ear, nose and throat), bone, urinary tract, heart, women and childbirth, spine, rheumatism and physical medicine, teeth, nutrition, children, eyes, nerves, internal medicine, chest, glands and diabetes, dermatology, radiology, laboratory, and pharmacy.
He said the hospital operates under the direct supervision of Dr Mohammed al Emadi, who is also the owner, and this is what distinguishes it from others as the doctor's view of the hospital management is different from the investor's view.
“Facilitating many procedures as well as taking many decisions daily is the secret of the success of Al Emadi Hospital,” he added.
“We are one of the first hospitals to perform obesity surgery in Qatar. The number of obesity surgeries at Al Emadi Hospital has reached more than 10,000. Most of our doctors are consultants and the patient takes the service directly from the consultant. We receive guidance from the Board of Directors not to leave any patient, whether in case of emergency or in case of need,” he said.
