The Ministry of Labour (MoL) and Qatar Airways have announced the availability of job opportunities for Qatari job seekers and the sons of Qatari women who hold a bachelor’s degree. The announcement of new jobs at Qatar Airways comes within the framework of nationalization programme in the private sector, as it is one of the main priorities of the Ministry of Labour aimed at benefiting the national workforce and opening new horizons for them in major private sector companies.
Applicants to the new jobs are required to be registered with the National Employment Platform (Kawader), and must have good command of English language and GPA of above 2.5.
The Ministry of Labour called on Qatari men and women and sons of Qatari women who are looking for jobs and wishing to work in the private sector to apply for the offered jobs through the link: https://www.mol.gov.qa/Ar/Services/Pages/ServiceDetails.aspx?itemid=70.
The ministry added that any of those wishing to apply for the offered jobs can inquire directly by calling the hotline: 40227953 or through the e-mail: [email protected].
The ministry stressed that it is keen to provide all forms of facilities and incentives that would encourage Qatari nationals to work for major private sector companies and provide an exemplary work environment.
It added that it observes the obstacles that male and female citizens may face in their work for the local private sector establishments and companies and underlined that it has open channels to receive any complaints regarding the localisation of jobs in the private sector.
The ministry noted that, during the first and second phases, it offered about 900 jobs in various sectors and fields with major local private sector companies, since the beginning of 2022.
During the first four months of 2022, the ministry’s efforts contributed to the recruitment of 529 male and female citizens in private sector companies and institutions, of whom 103 were employed in January, 114 in February, 120 in March and 192 in April.
