Al Ahli club have renewed the contract of their coach Nebosha Jovovich for a period of one season (2022-23) as part of the club’s management’s keenness for the technical stability of the team.
Jovovich, who is with the club for a third consecutive season, expressed his happiness at renewing his contract, promising to make more efforts in the coming season, which he considers a challenge. He expressed his great appreciation for the spirit of the one family and cooperation within the the club, as well as the trust of the club’s management and the players.
Jovovich had coached Al Ahli in the second section of the 2019-2020 season, succeeding Spaniard Ruben de Labarrera.
Al Ahli also announced that the signing of Iranian national team player Shoja Khalilzad from Al Rayyan Club for the next season.
Khalilzad will strengthen Al Ahli’s ranks for an extendable season, instead of Moroccan professional Sofiane Bouftini, whose contract was terminated by mutual consent between the two parties.
For his part, Zadeh expressed his happiness to play in the Qatar Football League “QNB Stars League” for Al Ahli and said that he will make every effort to rise to the expectations.
With Shojazadeh’s joining, Al Ahli will have Iranian professionals from the Iranian national team, along with Seyed Hossein Kanaani, in addition to Spain’s Jose Bozo and Jordan’s Yazan Naimat.
