Doha
Qatar and Armenia on Monday pledged to strengthen bilateral relations as Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani and Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan held officials talks at the Amiri Diwan.
The session reviewed bilateral relations and enhancing them in different fields, particularly economic, commerce, health, education, and food security sectors. It also dealt with the latest regional and international issues of joint interest.
Following the session, the PM and his Armenian counterpart witnessed the signing of a number of bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoU) in different fields.
They witnessed the signing of an MoU on establishing political talks on issues of common interest, another MoU on news exchange between Armenian News Agency and Qatar News Agency (QNA), and a twinning agreement between the Doha Municipality and that of the city of Yerevan, a joint cooperation agreement in the health field, another cooperation agreement in education and higher education, a memorandum of understanding in the tourism and business events field, and a cooperation agreement between Qatar University and Yerevan State University.
Earlier upon arrival at the Amiri Diwan, the Armenian PM was accorded an official reception ceremony.
