In order to fulfill its commitment towards improving the population’s health in Qatar and extending the needed help to those in need in the society, Commercial Bank, the leading digital bank in Qatar, joined its efforts with Qatar Society for Rehabilitation ofSpecial Needs.
The Bank donated to purchase medical equipment that catered for different types of impairments including movement, visual and hearing impairments, to empower the people with special needs since they represent one of the important segments in the society.
As one of its core strategies, Commercial Bank made sure to spread hope among the people with special needs through its contribution to ensure happiness and quality of life are provided where it’s needed in the Qataricommunity.
Commercial Bank has its own outstanding record in supporting charitable projects and always work to fulfil its social responsibility towards the community in Qatar.
Commenting on the occasion, Commercial Bank Sponsorships and Events Manager Ashjan Saleh Al Khalaf said, "Commercial Bank has been committed to supporting Qatar’s national development by giving back to the wider community through a comprehensive range of meaningful corporate social responsibility programmes formulated and implemented by the bank’s marketing department. This donation represents a small part of the Bank’s efforts in contributing towards a healthy, happy, and equal society in Qatar."
Talib Abdullah Afifa, a member of the board of directors of the Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs, expressed his appreciation to the Commercial Bank for their kind contribution with the association in sponsoring this segment, stressing that the support of banks and financial institutions in the country to the association is the basis for providing medical devices and financial aid.
He also extended his wishes for further cooperation in the future to boost the wellbeing of people withdisabilities.
Commercial Bank was recognized as the Market Leader for Corporate Social Responsibility by the prestigious Euromoney magazine earlier this year, and this donation shows yet again Commercial Bank’s commitment towards promoting a healthy lifestyle by aiding whoever is in need in the community of Qatar.
