Sohni Dharti, a socio-cultural organisation of Pakistanis residing in Al Khor, unveiled playing kits and trophy for the fourth edition of its volleyball championship.

A total of six teams are participating in the championship including Punjab Sixpacks led by Muhammad Imran, Sindh Hitmen led by Muhammad Faisal, KPK Smashers led by Muhammad Kaleemullah, Balouchistan Safesets led by Abdullah Khan, Gilgit Crossfires led by Rana Muhammad Atif and Kashmir Net masters led by Zafar Chandio.

A three-member technical committee comprising Daim Khan, Mohsin Ali and Umar Khayyam has been formed to oversee the technical matters of the tournament

Zafar Chandio has been nominated as the brand ambassador of the tournament. Apart from being an excellent volleyball player, Chandio is credited with introducing volleyball in Al Khor community.

The tournament kicked off at Al Nakheel Club Volleyball Court on October 4. Top four teams will qualify for the semifinals and the final while the prize distribution ceremony will be held on October 21.

Sohni Dharti has made excellent arrangements for the tournament. The forum is broadcasting all matches live on its social media platforms.

Sohni Dharti Chairman Shahid Mehmood Bhatti and Sports Secretary Ghulam Farid have requested all players and spectators to enjoy the event and promised to bring more sporting events in future as well. They also thanked the club management for providing necessary facilities for the tournament.
