Minister of State for Energy Affairs and President and CEO of QatarEnergy HE Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi arrived in Guyana on Monday. He is on a three-day visit to South American country.
According to Ambassador of Guyana to Qatar HE Sarfraz Ahmad Shahdood, Kaabi was received on arrival by Foreign Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Guyana, Robert Persaud.
President of Guyana Dr Irfaan Ali met Kaabi and his delegation on Tuesday at the office of the president.
Discussions surrounded potential collaboration between the governments of Guyana and Qatar in the areas of energy, food, infrastructure and aviation.
Also present at the meeting were the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Corporation Hugh Hilton Todd, Minister of Natural Resources Vickram Bharrat, Ministers of Public Works Bishop Juan Edghill and Deodat Indar, and Director of Projects at the Office of the President Marcia-Nadir Sharma.
