In recognition of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's prestigious position to the Republic of Kazakhstan people and leadership and as an expression of pride in the solid relations between the two countries and their friendly peoples, HH the Amir was awarded the Order of the Golden Eagle "Altyn Qyran" - Kazakhstan's highest order awarded to the heads of friendly countries - by HE President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during the ceremony that took place Wednesday in the presidential palace "Aq Orda" in Astana.
The Order of the Golden Eagle "Altyn Qyran" is the highest and biggest of all the Republic of Kazakhstan's state orders and awards. The order was established in 1995 and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan chooses whom to be awarded such a high-level order. The order is awarded to individuals in recognition of their significant contribution to Kazakhstan's national development. The order is also awarded to presidents and leaders of foreign countries, who left historical imprints and achieved positive results in deepening the friendly relations between their countries and the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The order represents a gold medal that includes a five-pointed star with rounded ends and in its heart a circle with the shape of an eagle, made of genuine gold, beneath which is the Kazakh phrase "Altyn Qyran." The eagle is one of the most significant birds in Kazakh culture and its image adorns the country's flag.
Meanwhile, HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani has received several orders and awards in recognition of His Highness' contributions to humanitarian fields and the strengthening of friendships and relations between the State of Qatar and world countries. In this context, in August 2022, HH the Amir received the Arab Tourism Necklace of Excellent Class from the Arab Tourism Organization in appreciation of His Highness' pioneering efforts in promoting and developing joint Arab action in various sectors, especially tourism, and the prominent role of the State of Qatar in this sector.
In August 2022, HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani was awarded the National Order of Merit of the Republic of Chad by HE President of the Transitional Military Council of the Republic of Chad Lt. Gen. Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno, in appreciation of His Highness' role and the efforts of the State of Qatar in making the Chadian Peace Negotiations a success and the signing of the Doha Peace Agreement in Chad.
On behalf of HH the Amir, the Order of Merit was received by Charge d'Affaires at the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Chad Abdul Sattar Saleh Al Ansari during his meeting with the President of the Transitional Military Council of the Republic of Chad.
During His Highness' state visit to the Kingdom of Spain in May 2022, HH the Amir was presented with the Collar of the Order of Isabella the Catholic from HM King Felipe VI, which is the highest decoration granted to heads of state and high-ranking personalities, as an expression of the strength of relations between the two countries. On his part, HH the Amir presented HM King Felipe VI with the Sword of the Founder Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani, in an embodiment of the bonds of friendship between the two friendly countries and peoples. His Highness also received the Order of the Senate and the Order of the House of Representatives of Spain, as an expression of the ties of friendship and partnership between the two countries.
In November 2021, HM Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of the Sultanate of Oman, who was on a state visit to Qatar, presented HH the Amir with the Civil Order of Oman, First Class, in appreciation of His Highness and a reflection of the strength of ties between the people of Qatar and Oman. The Civil Order of Oman is the highest Omani decoration, presented to kings and heads of states of countries with distinguished ties with the Sultanate of Oman. It is also presented to very important persons that have HM the Sultan's utmost appreciation.
During the official visit of HE President of the Federative Republic of Brazil Jair Bolsonaro - whose term has expired - to Qatar in November 2021, HE the President awarded HH the Amir the Grand Collar of the Brazilian National Medal, the highest Brazilian decoration awarded to heads of states and governments.
In June 2019, during the state visit of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, HE President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi awarded "Nishan-e-Pakistan," Pakistan's highest civil award to HH the Amir, as an expression of the depth of the historical relations between Qatar and Pakistan.
In October 2018, HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani was awarded the Mariscal Lopez necklace by HE President of the Republic of Paraguay Mario Abdo Benitez at the Presidential Palace in Asuncion, on the occasion of a state visit paid by HH the Amir to Paraguay, and in recognition of the close relations between the State of Qatar and the government and people of the Republic of Paraguay.
In April 2017, during Her Excellency's state visit to Doha, HE the President of the Republic of Croatia awarded HH the Amir the Grand Order of King Tomislav with Sash and Great Star, the highest state order of the Republic of Croatia.
In March 2017, HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani was awarded the Abu Bakr Al Siddique Medal, by the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization (ARCO), in recognition of His Highness' support for humanitarian action at the local, regional and international levels, and the featured role of the State of Qatar in this field.
In December 2013, during His Highness's visit to the Kingdom of Morocco, HM King Mohammed VI of Morocco awarded HH the Amir the Order of Muhammadiya.
In October 2013, during His Highness's visit to the State of Kuwait, HH the Amir received the Grand Mubarak medal from HH the late former Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah.
