Qatar’s Ahmed Jibreen wins shot put silver at Asian Youth Athletics

Qatar’s Ahmed Jibreen (left) won the silver medal in the shot put competition at the Asian Youth Athletics Championships, which began in Kuwait on Wednesday. The gold was won by India’s Akash Yadav, while his compatriot Siddharth Choudhary claimed the bronze. Held for the first time in 2015, this is the fourth edition of the Asian Youth Athletics Championships. The championships, which will conclude on October 16, has brought together 30 nations.
