The Deputy Emir His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al Thani toured the Hamad Bin Khalifa Medical City and inspected its new hospitals and health facilities on Thursday.
During the tour, HH the Deputy Emir was introduced to the City's various facilities and services.
He also toured Women's wellness and research centre, medical care building, emergency building, Hamad General Hospital, Qatar Rehabilitation Institute and the state-of-the-art operation rooms, as well as other installations, facilities and research centres.
HH the Deputy Emir listened to a detailed explanation presented by Minister of Public Health HE Dr Hanan al Kuwari about the technical and operational mechanisms in the City.
He was accompanied by Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al Thani.
The City is one of Qatar's key healthcare projects, spannning over a build-up area of 227,000 square-metre. It aims at providing a world-class health care.
