Qatar Charity (QC), through its in-kind donations project ‘Tayf’, received donations from Apparel Group, as part of group’s social responsibility towards the local community. The donations included large collections of clothing for men, women and children as well as shoes, accessories and toys valued at QR1.5 million.
Ali Ibrahem AlGreeb, director of the Resource Development Department at QC, thanked Apparel Group for their continued cooperation with QC and for the generous donations in support of the charity’s community services and humanitarian projects that aim to benefit low-income families and workers in Qatar, as well as the needy and underprivileged around the world.
AlGreeb added that QC welcomes the contributions of various organisations and commercial bodies and looks forward to collaborating with all organisations and individuals within the country to contribute to achieving the noble humanitarian goals by providing community and humanitarian services.
Sunil Thakkar, general manager of Apparel Group, praised Qatar Charity’s humanitarian and charitable projects within Qatar and in various countries of the world, expressing his delight at supporting QC’s community service efforts.
“The donations come within the framework of our social responsibility towards the local community to contribute to supporting the humanitarian efforts made by Qatar Charity for the benefit of various communities locally and globally,” said Thakkar, underling the group’s keenness to participate in QC’scommunity activities and humanitarian projects.
It is worth mentioning that QC receives in-kind donations, including clothes, shoes, toys, furniture and electronic appliances from individuals and organisations for its ‘Tayf’ projects to benefit workers and families with low-income within the country.
