Lulu Hypermarket continues to support Qatar Cancer Society for the fourth year in a row, believing in the social responsibility towards raising awareness of cancer and promoting a culture of early detection, as well as supporting people living with the disease throughout the month of October.

Lulu Hypermarket Abu Sidra branch, in cooperation with Qatar Cancer Society (QCS), for the first time organised the ‘Pink Kitchen’ event in the presence of the media figure Sheikha Al Mannai, by presenting a healthy cooking show targeting Lulu pioneers to spread awareness of the importance of healthy food in preventing diseases, especially cancer.

Mona Ashknani, general manager of QCS, said: “Raising awareness of cancer and the ways to prevent it by adopting a healthy lifestyle is one of the most prominent goals of the charity and an essential pillar in its mission that seeks to prevent cancer and to control its burden in Qatar by working with our partners to educate the community, and support, empower and advocate for individuals living with cancer, and to engage in professional development and scientific research in the field of cancer.”

She thanked the officials of Lulu Hypermarket Qatar for its continuous support for the cause of charity, especially its support for the awareness efforts led by QCS in its ongoing fight against cancer which needs permanent cooperation among all institutions and authorities.

Ashknani also thanked the media figure Sheikha Al Mannai for her support of the awareness-raising association’s efforts.

She expressed happiness about this cooperation, which supports the society’s vision to become the community partnership platform for making Qatar a leader in cancer prevention and

burden control, and its mission that seeks to prevent cancer and control its burden in Qatar.
