Aster DMH Qatar, a division of Aster DM Healthcare the largest integrated private healthcare network in Asia, has launched a new Healthcare Scheme for 25,000 low waged workers at a subsidized amount of QR200. This scheme will be held at Aster Medical Centre Industrial Area will provide unlimited Doctor Consultation, laboratory tests, X-ray, ECG, Ultra Sound Scan and medicines. The actual cost for this scheme is QR 300 and aster provides after QR 100 of subsidy. 
The announcements were made by Dr. Sameer Moopan, Chief Executive Officer, Aster DMH Qatar and Dr. Nazar Moopan, Medical Director and Chief of Medical Staff of Aster DMH Qatar together during the press conference held at Hotel Oryx Rotana yesterday in the presence of representatives of Embassy of Bangladesh, Embassy of Nepal, Embassy of Sri Lanka and Embassy of India to Qatar.
Commenting on the initiative, Dr. Sameer Moopan said “We are very pleased to announce this initiative for the welfare of low waged workers. The actual cost of the scheme is QR300 and DM foundation, CSR arm of Aster DM Healthcare will contribute QR100 from its CSR initiatives. We’ll use our CSR fund of QR2.5million for This scheme. This project aims at wellness of the people who cannot afford to go for such tests in private sector.” “This scheme will immensely help patients who are financially challenged and those who are on a waitlist to get an advanced early diagnosis and treatments” he added.
Talking on the project, Dr. Nazar Moopan said “The main aim behind our effort is that good healthcare is provided to those who really need it. We urge the people of the low income brackets to make good use of this health package being offered at Aster Medical Centre at Industrial Area. Early diagnosis is very critical in the treatment of any disease. By offering the right diagnosis and free medication, we hope to make quality healthcare accessible to all”
