You will no longer need to show the green code on your Ehteraz app to enter most indoor public places from November 1 as Qatar’s Cabinet on Wednesday approved a proposal restricting such an entry requirement to medical facilities alone.
Ehteraz will cease to become mandatory to access all public places except health facilities from Monday, the Ministry of Public Health has said.
Ehteraz is Qatar's official COVID-19 contact-tracing app and is, at present, mandatory for all adults in Qatar. The smartphone application provides live status of each person's current COVID-19 health and vaccination status. All adults in Qatar are required to show a green code — which indicates the user does not have COVID-19 — to gain entry to indoor public places such as malls, schools, and restaurants.
