Erling Haaland has gifted his former Borussia Dortmund teammates and staff special Manchester City shirts after the two teams’ Champions League match, the Bild paper reported on Thursday.

The report said that Haaland had signed all the shirts with his number nine of the English champions he had joined in shummer from Dortmund.

The Norwegian marksman had also handed out gifts in the form of expensive watches to Dortmund players and staff upon his departure there, reportedly worth a total half a million euros ($495,000).

Haaland got a warm welcome from Dortmund fans at Wednesday’s match which ended 0-0, a result that saw City clinch first place in the group and Dortmund advance to the last 16 along with them.

Haaland, who had scored 22 goals in his previous 14 games for City to become an instant hit there, remained scoreless and was taken off at half-time, with coach Pep Guardiola saying afterwards he was not at full health.

After the game Haaland was in no hurry to leave, engaged in small talk, signed autographs, posed for selfies, and gave Gregor Kobel a kiss on the cheek just as the Dortmund goalkeeper was giving TV interviews.
