Aspire Zone Foundation managed to leave a powerful imprint as one of Qatar’s sporting icons and one of the reasons behind Qatar’s success in winning the bid of hosting the FIFA World Cup 2022, through its three facilities Aspire Academy, Aspetar Hospital, and Aspire Logistics.

The story of the attachment of Aspire Zone and the World Cup tournament began with Aspire Logistics, once place to meet all the requirements regarding events, sporting buildings and facilities management, and corporate services management.

Since 2019, Aspire Logistics has been managing all sports stadiums and training sites and operating and providing high-quality sports facilities services in Qatar. Aspire Logistics is also responsible for managing all eight World Cup stadiums and other sports venues sued during the tournament. Aspire Logistics’ work includes providing routine and preventive maintenance services, corrective maintenance, process improvement, electromechanical system monitoring, and air conditioning systems using UNISTAD technology applied at Aspire Command Center. In addition, Aspire Sports Turf (AST) is responsible for turf services for all World Cup stadiums and training sites.

Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy has contracted with Aspire Zone Foundation through INTALEQ company to provide all ICT services throughout the World Cup stadiums and sites associated with the tournament.

The Aspire Command and Control Centre was also established to manage the stadiums’ facilities and operations. The Aspire Command and Control Centre links the 8 World Cup stadiums to one hub and provides the ability to to remotely monitor, manage, and control all the operational aspects of the stadiums through UNISTAD centralized platform. The Aspire Command and Control Centre also provides infrastructure services for all facilities using a unique technology in a anew electronic server that has been given the name "Sports in a Box.” All World Cup stadiums are equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, 4G, and 5G connectivity, which will provide fans with an unprecedented Internet connection during the tournament.

Aspetar Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital was also part of Qatar’s bid to host the World Cup. The accumulated experience of Aspetar through its medical coverage for various sporting events, as well as its presence in previous World Cup editions, made Aspetar’s medical staff fully ready for the World Cup.

Some of Aspetar’s qualified doctors were assigned to work as medical directors in a number of World Cup stadiums. During the tournament, Aspetar will provide service to 10 participating teams who have limited medical support, enabling them to use additional medical staff from Aspetar to work directly with their teams.

Aspetar shall assign 11 female and male nurses who will be responsible for sorting phone calls to guarantee that sportsmen, their delegations, and match officials have access to swift medical services.

In the same regard, Aspire Academy received match referees from Asia, Africa, and Oceania, who are scheduled to referee the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. Since Qatar won the bid to host FIFA World Cup, Aspire Academy has welcomed several officials, dignitaries, and media representatives and taken them on tours of its facilities, and many of the football associations of the participating teams were among the delegations who visited the Academy.
