Amir Meets Iraqi president, Lebanese PM and Sudan’s leader

Algiers: The Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met with President of Iraq Dr Abdul Latif Rashid, on the sidelines of the 31st regular session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the summit level in Algiers on Tuesday. HH the Amir also met with Prime Minister of Lebanon Najib Mikati and Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of Sudan Lieutenant-General Abdel Fattah Al Burhan. During the meetings, they discussed relations between Qatar and each of Iraq, Lebanon and Sudan and a number of developments of mutual interest, particularly the means of strengthening joint Arab action, in addition to exchanging views on the most prominent topics on the summit’s agenda. The meetings were attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Chief of the Amiri Diwan HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Minister of Finance HE Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari and a number of members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Amir.
