Qatar Airways passengers affected by flight cancellation due to coronavirus can get a full refund or re-book their tickets to alternative dates without charge, the airline has said on its website.
"If you have booked your tickets though a travel agent, please contact your travel agent to amend or refund your booking. If you have booked your ticket on qatarairways.com or through any of our offices, you can re-book your tickets or submit a refund request online or by telephoning your local contact center," the digital statement said.
The statement comes after Qatar suspended all incoming flights for two weeks as a Covid-19 precautionary measure. Several countries Qatar Airways fly to and from have also imposed entry restrictions, creating operational challenges for the airline.
"Qatar Airways is working closely with global and national authorities to understand the latest advice and guidance on COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and operate our services accordingly," the airline said.
"Like all airlines around the world, we have to balance the needs of our millions of passengers with the operational challenges we face due to entry restrictions imposed by a number of countries."
