Alongside hand-washing, the most important advice health experts are sharing in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic is to stay away from others.
The Ministry of Public Health in Qatar is banking on powerful words and captivating imagery to drive home this message. It has started a #StayHome campaign on social media to encourage as many people as possible to exercise self-isolation or social distancing.
The campaign uses a series of photographs of medical practitioners and others at the forefront of the coronavirus fight in Qatar. In the photos, they are seen holding posters with exhortations towards the general public to stay at home.
"We are at work for you. Please stay home for us," the posters read in different languages.
The objective of social distancing is to ease the burden on hospitals and health care workers so that the most severe cases can receive adequate medical care.
