As many as 144 fake World Cup trophies that were meant to be sold online have been seized, the Ministry of Interior has said. The sale of counterfeit World Cup merchandise is a violation of Law No 10 of 2021 regarding the measures to host the FIFA World Cup. The seizure was made by the Department for Combating Economic and Cyber Crimes after it learnt of a website that sells counterfeit trophies. (TNN)
