The Qatar Charity on Monday distributed hygiene kits and pamphlets with health-related instructions in multiple languages to workers in construction sites as part of a campaign to increase awareness on ways to stop the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in Qatar.
The campaing was carried out in cooperation with several ministries.
"This is part of the voluntary campaign launched by Qatar Charity to support Qatar's efforts to combat the spread of the coronavirus. Today, the volunteer team continued to distribute protective bags and multilingual educational guidelines to construction workers as part of the rapid response initiative to reduce the spread of infection," Qatar Charity said in a tweet on Monday.
The campaign targeted workers category to spread awareness of infection prevention methods to reduce the spread of the emerging virus, in addition to distributing preventive supplies and multilingual health guidelines according to the Ministry of Public Health recommended standards.
