Hayya Card holders who have arrived in Qatar before November 1, 2022, on any type of visit visa can covert them into "fan visas" and stay in the country until January 23, 2023, the Ministry of Interior has announced.
Such visitors should head to the General Directorate of Passports or MOI Services Centres to get their visas converted for a fee of QR500.
Qatar had made Hayya Card a prerequisite for entry to all visitors as of November 1, 2022
A Hayya Card, issued by Qatar to those who have purchased a match ticket for the FIFA World Cup 2022, acts as a permit for visitors to stay in the country until January 23, 2022.
Qatar is hosting the FIFA World Cup 2022 between November 20 and December 18. The Arab world's first-ever FIFA World Cup is expected to bring more than 1.7 million people to Qatar.
