According to the latest radar image tweeted by the Qatar Meteorology Department on Sunday, majority of the precipitation appears to be concentrated on the eastern coast of Qatar and some south-western areas.
An active thunder cell has been detected on Bounakhla, which may be accompanied by hail, the Met office said in the tweet, urging caution.
In a recent weather report, the Met Office said rainfall this week will significantly drop temperatures in Qatar.
