Stunning smoke trails held Qatar residents in thrall as air force jets from Qatar, the UK and Saudi Arabia zipped through the skies over Doha Corniche in captivating formations on Friday in a joint air show ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2022.

The air show brought together the Qatari Amiri Air Forces as well as Al-Zaeem Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Attiya Air College with the Royal Saudi Air Forces and the British Royal Air Force at Doha Corniche and West Bay areas on Friday.

The Air show was performed before the launch of World Cup FIFA Qatar 2022, and witnessed the participation of many Qatar Amiri Air Forces Typhoons (Thariyat), PC21 aircraft belonging to Al-Zaeem Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Attiya Air College, Hawk aircraft (Saudi Falcons) belonging to the Royal Saudi Air Forces, Typhoons belonging to British Royal Air Force (Joint Squadron No. 12) and Hawk aircraft (Red Arrows) belonging to the British Royal Air Force.

The joint air show was performed within the celebration of defence cooperation between Qatar and the United Kingdom, with the participation of Qatar Amiri Air Forces and British Royal Air Force represented by the Joint Squadron No. 12, which takes part in securing the air space during the FIFA World Cup along with the rest of squadrons of the Qatar air forces. The participation of the Saudi Falcons team reflects the depth of relationship and cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
