As many as 1,136 computers were installed at the quarantine facility for workers in Mekaines to enable the inhabitants to better communicate with their family members and relatives back home.The computers are provided by the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs and the Ministry of Transportation and Communications in cooperation with the Qatar Red Crescent Society as part of the "Better Communication" initiative. 

The Better Communication initiative is supported by several partners, including Vodafone, Microsoft, Reach Out To Asia (ROTA) and the Institute of Social, Economic and Survey Research.Besides enabling people under quarantine to communicate with their family members and relatives, the devices help them access the education materials on ways to prevent and protect themselves from coronavirus.
