A recent update on Qatar's contact-tracing app Ehteraz allows users to register with their visa numbers.
This update will help those who don't have Qatar ID to use the app.
From the last week of May, citizens and residents have been required to have the Ehteraz app installed on mobile devices when leaving their homes, allowing the government to track if the user has been in touch with an infected person.
Supermarkets and banks in Qatar have also started asking shoppers to show the health-code colour on the Ehteraz app for entry. Only those with the green (good health) colour on the app will be allowed in.
