DOHA The Grandfather Emir HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad al Thani passed away on Sunday, the Emiri Diwan announced. He was 84.
"May Allah have mercy on his soul and make paradise his residence, and grant him the best reward for what he achieved for his homeland and the nation," the Emiri Diwan said in a statement.
The Emir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani ordered three days of mourning across the country. (QNA)
