Leeming Airbase (UK)
The first batch of the Joint Hawks Squadron 11 pilots graduated from RAF Leeming Airbase in the United Kingdom on Saturday in the presence of Air Combat Group Commander Brig (Pilot) Mohammed bin Abdullah Al
Dosari.
The joint squadron, which carries the Qatar Emiri Air Force (QEAF) badge, will enable Qatari and UK pilots to train together on the latest versions of Hawk training aircraft (HAWK MK-167). These aircraft use advanced air simulation to look, feel and operate like the latest generation of fighters.
The graduation was attended by Qatari Military Attaché in London Brig Ali bin Mohammed Al-Fadala, Assistant Military Attaché in London Brig (Sea) Jarallah bin Hamad Al-Nabit, and from the British side by Senior Officer of Qatar Air Programmes Air Commodore Richie Yates and Training Commander of Air Group 22 Brig Aleen Sharoks.
